“Can we do that again before we leave Costa Rica?” That might be what you hear after your child learns to stand up and catch a wave on the gold coast. Learning how to do something new is the type of experience you will find on this COSTA RICA FOR KIDS small private group surf lesson.

Kids are so attentive and hang on every word their too cool for school, local surf guru teacher tells them. They will tote their own board and practice positions and movements on the sandy shore before heading into the ocean. Attentive surf instructors will accompany your child and help them get their board past the gentle, rolling waves and out past the break to wait for the next set. Rash guards and the boards are included, so you don’t need to buy anything to get started.

Your child will learn patience as they wait for the next set of waves and by the end of the day show gratitude for the instructor who has been helping them get back out beyond the breaking waves over and over again. These surf guides love kids and what they do. They are the experts whom never seem to tire, and love sharing their love for the ocean and surfing with kids.

The beaches in Tamarindo are the perfect locale for learning to surf. Long stretches of beach with gentle waves that take you to shore, make it easy to accomplish the goal. Kid’s center of gravity is low to the ground, so they are naturally suited to pick up this new skill. The town is an eclectic spot filled with surf hangouts, ice cream and coffee shops, macrobiotic cafes, plus high-end beachwear and jewelry shops.

Parents are welcome to take the lesson with their kids, but taking photos and watching them get up on the board can be a source of sheer pleasure too. Plus you will have plenty of good shots to enjoy later. If you do decide to take the lesson, you can purchase the professional photo package that is offered. You might want to pick up a cool rash guard to take home.

What families love about this tour! – MONEY BACK GUARANTEE!!! Private small group lesson guarantee you that if your kid is not standing up on the board catching a wave by the end of the lesson, you will get your money back. So this means you have super motivated surf instructors and highly engaged kids. And, since these are private small group lessons, perfect for families, you can schedule this activity for later in the afternoon when the sun is not as strong as it is in the morning or middle of the day.

Monkey, iguanas and sloths – OH MY! It is no wonder why Manuel Antonio National Park is the most visited park in Costa Rica. When in the Manuel Antonio area, the national park is something you must see while you are here.

On this COSTA RICA FOR KIDS Manuel Antonio National Park Tour, you will definitely want to keep your eyes open because there are tons of cool critters to see. Be sure to stay close to your experienced naturalist guide, because he will carry a high-powered spotting scope that will allow you a chance to see a greatly magnified view of whatever he or she finds along the hike.
Start your day in the morning, when your guide picks you up from your hotel. After a short drive, you arrive at the scenic park that sits right on the beach. Because Manuel Antonio National Park sits at sea level, it is easy to hike. The park is bordered by the Pacific Ocean and the primary rainforest and mangrove forest inside the park offer a haven to more than 100 species of mammals. Packs of howler monkeys are frequently seen in the park and it is also home to the highly endangered squirrel monkey.

*At the end of the tour of Manuel Antonio National Park, you will have a chance to hydrate with a bottle of water and a fresh fruit snack before you take the drive back to your hotel.

*NOTE: If you want to stay at the beach after the tour is over, just let the guide know that you will catch a taxi on your own to get back to the hotel. This beautiful beach is a great spot for you and your family to enjoy some time on the white sand beach that sits just outside the park’s entrance.

What families love about this tour! – Your family will see tons of wildlife and get a great view through your guide’s powerful spotting scope, which is much stronger than any binoculars you bring with you.

We offer transportation to and from select hotels in the Manuel Antonio areas. If you would like to include transportation to your Multi-Adventure Package, please contact us to coordinate the available tour combinations, pick up time and location.
