Sloths Territory Family Tour

Look up, look down, there’s sloths all around! Marvel at the world’s slowest mammal, THE SLOTH, on this COSTA RICA FOR KIDS Tour. Visible with bare eyes, your kids will be zooming from tree to tree, trying to spot the next one!

You’ll be picked up at your hotel and drive a short distance outside of La Fortuna. Once you reach the Sloths Territory, you family expert guide will prepare your family for a hike through the rainforest in search the two-toed sloth and the three-toed sloth. Expert guides have extensive knowledge of wildlife animals and species of the area. Your kids will be trying to answer trivia questions and use their laser vision as they search for sloths among the trees. Families may also see possums, frogs, owls, and other tropical wildlife.

Natures gem, The Sloths Territory, is located on thirteen hectares of land. It is a private family owned reserve that is protected and maintained by the Rodriguez Perez Family. Ten of the hectares are currently in the reforestation process while the remaining three are a true tropical paradise with vibrant flora and fauna. The Sloths Territory is a permanent home for many species of wildlife that are free to roam in and out of the reserve exploring their natural habitat.

Your family will feel the connection with nature as you learn about wildlife species, the biodiversity within the eco-system and take in the views of the incredible Arenal Volcano. Trails along the hike are well maintained and guides will be equipped with telescope for optimum viewing. All family members big and small will get their turn to see sloths in their natural habitat. Once you return the entrance, a fresh seasonal fruit snack will be await for your family to enjoy!
