Capitán Suizo

The hotel “”Capitán Suizo”” owes its name to the small island “”El Capitán “”, which is located in front of the hotel and on the other hand the fact that the
Owner family from Switzerland comes “”Suizo””.
In 1992, the owners of the Capitán Suizo, Ursula and Ruedi Schmid, left the Switzerland and moved in search of new challenges with their two
hildren to Costa Rica. They have become an untouched piece of tropical land vegetation and beautiful old trees in love, which is right on the beach sleepy fishing village lay. After three years of “”handmade”” construction, was the dream of the hotel in which it is natural that the nature and the Wildlife is integrated with love and respect, reality.
The Capitán Suizo is an eco-conscious, four-star beach boutique hotel and has 35 Rooms nestled among native trees, in lush, biologically manicured Garden, which is home to a wide variety of animals. Out of everyone Viewpoint of the Capitán Suizo you can observe the magnificent nature of Costa Rica. Birds, howler monkeys, squirrels, gray and green iguanas, geckos, skunks, frogs and raccoons are animals you can see almost every day in the hotel garden.
With a little luck sometimes you can also see nocturnal wildlife, such as See porcupines, anteaters, armadillos, and possums.
