This Reserve tour will have your family participating in environmentally friendly rural tourism with the local culture of Quebrada Arroyo, about 25 km east of Manuel Antonio and Quepos. With 33 hectares of primary and secondary forest, Campesino is a pristine refuge for nature lovers who enjoy tranquility and beauty.

It is also a great place for families with kids to learn about different ways of life in rural Costa Rica. Your kids will come out of this tour with a rich educational experience. Your naturalist guide will give you an overview of the many medicinal plants native to the region, as well as the natural, sustainable cultivation and fertilization processes employed by the cooperative members. You will experience how sugar cane juice is extracted in the “trapiche” and enjoy the sweet flavorful nectar as a treat.
You will enjoy light hiking on nature trails, and traverse along the treetops on the “lifeline” suspension bridge that stretches 127 meters while observing many species of birds and fauna. Wow, imagine the views from this incredible suspension bridge! Once you reach the El Mirador, El Pueblo vista point, you will have a beautiful panoramic view of the Pacific Ocean, the Savegre River, neighboring villages, and the southern beaches of Manuel Antonio. Have your camera ready so you can capture some photos of the Campesino Reserve’sstunning waterfall. The best part for kids of all ages is that you too mom and dad, it’s time to cool off and splash around in the refreshing natural pool before returning to the lodge for lunch!
