Los Campesinos Reserve, is a farming cooperative experience COSTA RICA FOR KIDS style!

This Reserve tour will have your family participating in environmentally friendly rural tourism with the local culture of Quebrada Arroyo, about 25 km east of Manuel Antonio and Quepos. The journey begins in a rugged 4×4, heading deep into the mountains to a cooperative community dedicated to eco-sustainable tourism.

It is also a great place for families with kids to learn about different ways of life in rural Costa Rica. Your kids will come out of this tour with a rich educational experience. Your naturalist guide will give you an overview of the many medicinal plants native to the region, as well as the natural, sustainable cultivation and fertilization processes employed by the cooperative members. You will experience how sugar cane juice is extracted in the “trapiche” and enjoy the sweet flavorful nectar as a treat.
You will enjoy light hiking on nature trails, and traverse along the treetops on the “lifeline” suspension bridge that stretches 127 meters while observing many species of birds and fauna. Don’t forget your camera to capture the reserve’s beautiful waterfall!

And the best part for kids (and parents!) — cool off with a refreshing swim in the natural pool before returning to the lodge for a delicious lunch.
