Melissa Chacón

Born in the Capital City of San Jose, Costa Rica and raised at the base of the majestic Arenal Volcano, Melissa knows the bustle and attractions that city life bring but enjoys more tranquil living in rural Costa Rica. Melissa discovered her passion for tourism at an early age. Living close the Arenal Volcano, she met people from all over the world and started sharing her love for Costa Rica with them. A mom of two, Melissa has experienced what traveling Costa Rica looks like during the ages and stages of childhood and adolescence. Melissa is passionate about creating custom itineraries for all family members, from tots to teens to multigenerational trips, Melissa has it covered. Melissa has spent many days chasing waterfalls in Costa Rica. Her favorite place is Llanos del Cortez Waterfall, a beautiful hidden cenote with a spacious area to lay out a blanket, indulge in your favorite snacks and beverages and then dive into the cold fresh water splashing down from the waterfall above. Melissa is a waterfall expert so if you’re a family of waterfall chasers, she will make sure to add in stops along the route to splash around in the pristine waterfalls of Costa Rica.
